Adelaide Racing Carnival: Day 3 Track Report and Speed Maps

Racing.com James Jordan has walked the track ahead of the third and final day of the Adelaide Racing Carnival. Check out James' track report below, as well as speed maps for all nine races on Goodwood Day.

TRACK REPORT

Winning Post-1800m: The fence in slightly worse in patches but it's unlikely to have an impact on the results.

1800m-1200m: There is even wear and tear across the track. The inside lane is slightly inferior but not in a crucial part of the track, so it may not have a material effect. Any rain will influence the track rating as I felt the surface was a genuine Soft 5 and not far off a 6 rating.

1200m-400m: Very even across. General wear and tear from racing but didn't feel the inside two lanes would be the spoil they have been in recent weeks. The track walked in the Soft 5 range but slightly faster than the back straight.

400m - WP: There is general wear and tear across. No lanes of significance and I think you'll see them use plenty of the track in the straight. I felt this section of the track was marginally firmer than elsewhere and closer to a Good 4.

Verdict: Track races very evenly, I expect them to use a fair bit of the track in the home straight.
