James Jordan's Murray Bridge Track Report & Speed Maps

Racing.com James Jordan has walked the track ahead of the tomorrow's meeting at Murray Bridge. Check out James' track report below, as well as speed maps for all nine races.

TRACK REPORT

Winning Post-1600m: There is minor wear and slight variance across lanes 1-4 but nothing that will be consequential to results. Good 4 rating.

1600m-1000m: Very minor wear but the track is uniform across inside 6 lanes. There is good grass coverage and cushion under foot. Lanes one and two have slightly more significant wear from the 1200m-1000m mark. Good 4 rating.

1200m chute: Great coverage and walks like carpet. Perfect condition and very even across. Track in the Good 4 range other than a noticeable inferior patch at 800m mark where the chute meets course proper.

1000m - home straight (course proper): The inside two lanes are much cleaner than back straight and walk slightly quicker than beyond. Lanes 4-6 slower ground and horses peeling out before straight may be disadvantaged in this section. Good 4 range, lanes 4-6 on the worse side.

400m-WP: Still lightly more wear than lanes 4-6 but not as pronounced. Walks similarly, slightly better lanes 1-2. Good 4 rating.

Verdict: Good grass coverage in all areas and walks a Good 4. Won't surprise me if leaders can gain an advantage from the 1000m to the 400m mark as horses peeling out wide hit slightly inferior ground in lanes 4-6.
