Open race to start the day. DOROTHY ROSE has been runner-up her past couple the latest behind Conquest Of Tears at Balaklava, she is back in trip but should run well. MAURICE ROAD was placed in the same race and did run 2nd in a trial here back in March. RED ROOF was placed behind American Trouble at Murray Bridge three starts back and must be respected. PLYMPTON only battled behind Tiza here last time but was placed behind Understatement at Murray Bridge two starts back. PEACE LILY had good market support but was only average at Penola last time.

RACE 2 - 1:55PM Klose’s Supermarkets Benchmark 54 Handicap (1050 METRES)
FRENCH ROCK was perfectly ridden to score here last time, he gets in OK after the claim, maps well and should be in the finish. SUMMER SHOW is another who comes off a last start win here beating Glass Ceiling and will spear to the lead from a good barrier. LICORICE BULLET was specked at odds when only beaten 2.6 lengths in the race won by French Rock last time and must be considered. Stablemate ANJAH was a Port Lincoln winner in January and has placed at three of four first-up runs.

SASUN was good coming off the speed to win softly here last start. He loves it here and will still take plenty of beating with the 61kg after the Ben Price claim. LOVE VENUS shapes as a danger. He’s been runner-up at two of his past three and made good ground late behind Melody Man last time which is good form for this. SEMINOLES looks a big threat with the light weight from the inside barrier, he was placed in the Sasun race here last time. NATIVE BLUE was a Murray Bridge winner beating Nakheel before a handy run behind Melody Man. ALLUSION was OK behind Melody Man last time in town and finds a race where he can improve.

KUNGKA MARU has been placed at her past two the latest behind Ultimate Addiction at Balaklava. She looks to have found a very winnable race and looks well placed despite the wide barrier. ROUGE RENARDE showed some improvement last time running 4th behind Starsongari at odds at Gawler and draws well here on her home track. JUSTAKIDD is on debut for Shayne Cahill and was well beaten in a Strathalbyn jump out but must be kept safe here from a nice draw. GIMME A REASON ran OK here behind Reynolds on debut back in April and then chased home Samurai Moon and Celtic Valour. He draws wide. SMART ACE was OK at Penola last time but would need to lift to win.

RACE 5 - 3:40PM Cornerstone Stud Benchmark 56 Handicap (Heat 1 of Sir Prancealot Series) (1100 METRES)
SHE’S ESTELLE is showing good ability and was a good Gawler winner two starts back beating Hard Ransom before running 2nd behind Lucky Dog here last time. She draws to get very chance and looks hard to beat. VINROSE is a former Victorian in the Stuart Gower stable, and she was a Kilmore winner three starts back. PALE ALE can measure up in a race like this and has a good record here. CARTIER TIARA was good behind Love Magic at Gawler and again made ground behind Ritorno at Murray Bridge last start. TARASQUE was well back at odds before winning smartly at Penola last time.

BRIABELLA was very good resuming making good ground behind Fight For Freedom at Murray Bridge. She jumps from the 1400m straight to 1900m which is much more to her liking, and she was runner-up at her only start here. MASARU WARRIOR is bursting to break through having finished 2nd at his past three, the latest at Murray Bridge behind Smart Promise. He draws to get a good run and will be in the finish again. TIZA was good beating Happy Atom here last start and has claims despite a wide gate. CHONCAPE was well backed in the same race but only battled. His run behind Melody Man three starts back was good for a race like this. THE RED SEA had specking at a price behind Royal Bower in Sunday Mindarie-Halidon Cup. AMERICAN TROUBLE was a Murray Bridge winner two starts back but plain at Penola last time.

RACE 7 - 4:50PM Ecycle Solutions Class Two Handicap (1400 METRES)
This race has a few key scratchings. BOLT BY is going well and drops in class after chasing home Crown Mint in town last time. He should be ready to fire third-up and looks hard to beat. LUCKY DOG has been here twice for two wins. He came off the speed to beat She’s Estelle and get out in trip which looks ideal. SENTRY GATE was placed at his past two starts and comes here fresh. He could be a knock out at odds. POLLYANNA comes off a good win here and solid appeal after the claim despite a tricky barrier. FORCHE looks an improver second up and out in distance here. MALINONG CLUB won a Balaklava maiden over this trip and was OK behind Native Blue at Murray Bridge last time.
