RACE 1 - 12:22PM Coopers Brewery Two-Year-Old Plate (1100 METRES)
IN THE NAVY is from the Stokes stable and was runner-up in a Pakenham trial. She draws a nice barrier and should take some beating. PHENOTYPE is a local who won a Strathalbyn trial nicely for the Clarken/MacGillivray stable but draws a wide gate. FORAGER was a $210k yearling who ran second in the same trial and is in the astute hands of the McEvoy stable. REBEL CONSORTIUM is the only other horse in the market on debut for the Macdonald/Gluyas stable and defeated Phenotype in a Morphettville jump-out.

RACE 2 - 12:57PM 4 Way Fresh Produce Handicap (1100 METRES)
SPANISH HEIRLOOM gets in here well with the claim and should take some running down. She gets a small pull in the weights after being run down by Great Leveller last time. FIGHTING MCLAREN is a horse on the up having won four of seven and he beat Shellshocked back in class last time. He maps well with Jason Holder in the saddle. MODEAR was good first-up in SA for Matt Seyers and shapes an improver. DAMASCUS MOMENT will be handy to the speed and is another who was narrowly beaten by Great Leveller last start. CENTERFIELD is a nice horse with a good record and draws well for an in-form Barend Vorster.

RACE 3 - 1:32PM Members of Bung Fritz Society Handicap (1200 METRES)
Staying loyal to MISS LANGTRY who is flying winning her past three at Strathalbyn and looks over the odds. She’s progressing nicely and this her toughest test but she maps well and I’m happy to be with her each-way. The money is solid for LADY SIMONE who is a last-start winner here beating Free Of Sin but does draw a slightly sticky gate. LADY DUNMORE was a Morphettville winner two starts back and races well here. She gets some weight relief and must be respected. KUNGKA MARU has been racing well and got over the top of Daskulya last time, this is another step up in class. EMINENCIA is first-up for the Alexander stable and was a Wyong winner last start back in July. KILLARNEY KISS is the watch, a Victorian trained by Peter Moody who won her maiden on heavy going at Cranbourne back in July.

LOCKDOWN SALLY trialled OK at Strathalbyn and then jumped out nicely for this. She’s been taken along slowly, draws a nice barrier and should take some beating. KOLOKAR is a $150k yearling on debut for Richard and Chantelle Jolly and trialled OK at Strathalbyn recently. PRINCE JOFRA ran well in the I Am Bene race last time. EXTREMELY DISCREET is a well-bred filly who trialled only fairly at Strathalbyn but the family has an amazing record at the races and she must be respected. REDWINELOVER is now with Nicole Irwin and was game behind I Am Bene here last time.

RACE 5 - 2:42PM Gawler Hi Beam Carwash 2022 Bung Fritz Cup (2100 METRES)
VICTORY BANDIT comes off a good win here last time beating Flow Meter and subsequent winner Resurge. This isn’t a vintage Saturday staying race and she’s the most progressive horse in the race. AZZUREOUS got back and was never a hope last week. He’s up in trip which suits and he is capable of an upset with no weight. Victorian ZANCADA should run well here. His form is OK winning at Hamilton before running 2nd at Geelong and he was in the market behind Larrikin at Sandown last time. Fellow Victorian MISS GOBCAIN was a Werribee winner in December and draws a good barrier with Barend Vorster in great form. CALIBURN was up on speed when the tempo was solid behind Victory Bandit last time and his previous form since coming to SA was excellent.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Dare & Johnson Handicap (1200 METRES)
Tricky race. Going with RISING SPHERE who hasn’t been beaten far in two runs since coming from Victoria. He maps well from the gate and his latest behind Appalachian at Murray Bridge was good for this. SECRET WAR looked to have his chance after leading here and being run down by Ultimate Victory last time. He’s well weighted here after the claim and should give another sight. PICARGO was good behind Kayseri two starts back before running down the track at Sandown. MAY BE FATE draws a tricky gate but can improve in a race like this. COOL MAGNUM is knocking on the door while GUTSY has been racing well.

RACE 7 - 4:02PM Ultra Tune / Kingsford Hotel Handicap (1500 METRES)
SPECTACLE draws the inside and is going well winning two of her past three. She narrowly defeated Point Blaze last time at Murray Bridge and the inside gate is tricky, but she will be fighting out the finish. FULTON STREET will make the speed he has a great record. He’s been placed at two three starts here and will give a sight. TRADEWIND maps well from the barrier and was a Morphettville winner two starts back. OUR DEEP AGENDA looks nicely suited here dropping in weight has won two of six starts here. ZOULAH must be respected on the minimum and was a good Morphettville winner two starts back.

RACE 8 - 4:42PM Holdfast Insurance Handicap (1500 METRES)
Staying with the promising MONTIGN who produced a big effort to come from the back and run down Tully’s Gold last time. GETOUTTHEWAY has won five of 20 here with eight placings and finished off well behind Montign last time. He is sure to be thereabouts again. MORTY is always thereabouts and should get a good run from the barrier. He ran 3rd behind Fulton Street last time and draws to get his chance. TULLYS GOLD looked the winner before being run down by Montign last time and should run well again despite a sticky barrier. FRANKEL STAR is around the mark. LAKE’S FOLLY should have won at Morphettville two starts back and then wasn’t beaten far behind Spectacle at Murray Bridge last time.

OCEAN REWARD always races well in SA and draws out but has two wins and 10 placings from his 21 starts and must be respected. MAGIC PHANTOM resumes and has a good record with two wins from four starts here and the stable is ticking along nicely. TANJA’S DREAM is first-up for a new stable but has been in the money at both runs here MYSTICANO must be respected here on his home deck and ran OK behind Ultimate Victory last time..
