More black type on offer for classy Jolly filly

Richard Jolly is confident classy filly See You In Heaven can overcome an inside alley in the Group 3 David Coles AM Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday

See You In Heaven will jump from barrier one and Jolly said improving barrier manners should see her settle just behind the speed and give her ever opportunity at a third Group victory in her debut season.

“You’d like to think she could settle just behind the speed, which would be ideal,’’ he said.

“I would have liked to have drawn off the inside, but she has been jumping a lot better at her past couple of starts,’’ Jolly said.

The daughter of Divine Prophet is chasing her fourth win from five two-year-old starts and is marked a $1.80 favourite with tab.com.au.

She stamped herself as a horse with promise winning down the Flemington straight on Melbourne Cup Day and Jolly and said they did consider testing the water interstate.

“We did think about taking her to Sydney, but that didn’t eventuate,’’ Jolly said.

“It’s actually worked out well winning the two features here so far and if she can win again on Saturday she's had a great preparation,’’ he said.

Jolly said she was headed for a well-earned break after Saturday before they would look towards Melbourne in the spring.

“You’d have to think about races like the Thousand Guineas, but we’ll just let her have a good break and there are plenty of good race around at that time of the year,’’ Jolly said.

Jolly and daughter Chantelle will saddle up three runners in the feature, Aitch Two Oh who has a similar record with three wins from her four starts including the Listed Without Fear last time out, and Celtic Vader who was a Morphettville winner on debut.
