MAID IN MILAN (Race 6)

STARSONGARI (Race 7)

RACE 1 - 12:10PM Sagle Constructions Maiden/Class One Plate (2200 METRES)

Class 1 for the stayers. PLAYBOY CHARLIE worked home nicely first-up for his new stable and the jump from 1800m to 2200m looks ideal. VINO DECASA NOSTRA won a Gawler maiden before being well beaten by Illation last time, this is a significant drop in grade. DANRENA was a maiden winner last time out and the jump from 1719m to 2200m appeals. FAST DEALER was placed his only start here and boxed on OK behind Alpine Beau at Gawler last time.

SELECTIONS: 9 PLAYBOY CHARLIE, 4 Vino Decasa Nostra, 6 Danrena, 1 Fast Dealer

PLAY: Something each-way VINO DECASA NOSTRA at big odds.

RACE 2 - 12:45PM Birnie Sanders Hotel Brokers Rating 0 - 54 Handicap (1600 METRES)

FIGHT FOR FREEDOM is a winner this track and trip and the soft conditions should suit. He was well in the market behind Vivaldi’s Quest last time out. GARRIRE ran 2nd in the same race, he’s been around the mark and has placed here before. He’s ready to win. MR RANGER has placed here and ran OK behind Insaaf last time at Strathalbyn. SIRMAZE has had good early specking at odds.

SELECTIONS: 6 FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, 7 Garrire, 1 Mr Ranger, 10 Sirmaze

PLAY: FIGHT FOR FREEDOM each-way.

RACE 3 - 1:20PM Coopers Brewery Benchmark 62 Handicap (1600 METRES)

FOX D’OR was very good winning here three starts back over this trip before backing that effort up just three days later and winning in town. He gets an inside gate and looks the horse to beat. FLIGHT DECK comes off the Guineas and Chairman’s Stakes won by Jungle Magnate and Illation. He was a Gawler winner four starts back and looks a big threat here. PERFECT ILLUSION could be an improver here at his second start for the Jolly stable when he was specked at a price in a much harder race behind Mask Up at Morphettville. HABOURING was solid behind Til It’s Over at Mt Gambier last time. He won his previous two, gets the claim and has two wins and five placings from nine starts here. CARRY THE MUSKET was good behind Ammo Amor last time and has been placed here previously. DON’T DISMISS is a winner this track and trip. He will love the soft ground and looks an improver second-up from a spell.

SELECTIONS: 3 FOX D’OR, 8 Flight Deck, 4 Perfect Illusion, 1 Harbouring

PLAY: Something on PERFECT ILLUSION each-way.

RACE 4 - 1:55PM Schweppes Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

FLYING BARTY was placed twice before a break. She draws a tricky barrier but is in the leading stable and should give this a big shake. THE WEIGHT was strong in the market when runner-up behind Smiling From Above at Gawler on her SA debut and looks well placed here. MADAME PRANCELOT if now with David Jolly and has shown some ability placed at Nowra back in December. Stablemate BLASPHEME is on debut and finished just behind them in a Strathalbyn jump-out. SPIRITUAL GIRL looked to have her chance when run down by Sabermatic at Murray Bridge. ASTON EXPRESS can run well in a race like this.

SELECTIONS: 9 FLYING BARTY, 14 The Weight, 1 Blaspheme, 13 Spiritual Girl

PLAY: Happy to watch on here.

RACE 5 - 2:30PM Austin Condon Memorial Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)

LIGHTS OF BROADWAY chased home Lakehurst at Gawler last start. All four runs have been solid and she looks hard to beat from a middle barrier here. BALCREST BELLE draws wide but has been good her past couple placing behind Lakehurst at Gawler last start. TONY MONTANA made good ground from a long way back on debut at Strathalbyn behind Journey In Time. He draws a middle gate and the extra trip looks ideal. FAMILY ADDITION could be an improver second-up. SEA OF SECRETS must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 14 LIGHTS OF BROADWAY, 10 Balcrest Belle, 7 Tony Montana, 4 Family Addition

PLAY: Keen on LIGHTS OF BROADWAY to break through.

RACE 6 - 3:05PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Benchmark 54 Handicap (1050 METRES)

MAID IN MILAN is a winner her only start here and comes out of a much stronger race chasing home Gaze Grise at Morphettville. CIBACHROME looks well suited here. He was placed at Oakbank two starts back and wasn’t beaten far behind Sunny Green at Morphettville last time, his record in soft ground is good. SKARA BRAE had specking at odds last time and made ground behind Cartier Tiara at Strathalbyn. CAPTAIN SOLO was sent out favourite last time behind L’il Piper at Murray Bridge. OGGALUTION showed ability when last in work

SELECTIONS: 15 MAID IN MILAN, 11 Cibachrome, 12 Skara Brae, 2 Captain Solo

PLAY: Something each-way MAID IN MILAN and CIBACHROME.

RACE 7 - 3:40PM My Butcher 36 Degree South Fillies & Mares Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400 METRES)

STARSAONGARI was very good behind Mac ‘N’ Cheese in the Clare Lindop Stakes two starts back before disappointing at Oakbank. She stays at 1400m here and gets in well after the claim. BON PEGASUS comes off a Strathalbyn win beating SABAKU who looks well placed here. HEADPHONES made some ground behind Bolt By last time out. READY FORA MOET was a good winner first-up in SA and then missed the start and should have finished a lot closer last time. BUT BEAUTIFUL ran well behind Mavette at Naracoorte last time but will need some luck from the barrier. DANCNG STREAM was well backed when 5th behind Vivaldi’s Quest at Gawler last start and was a winner there prior.

SELECTIONS: 3 STARSONGARI, 1 Bon Pegasus, 2 Sabaku, 11 Ready For a Moet

PLAY: Happy to be backing STARSONGARI each-way, something small READY FORA MOET at odds.

RACE 8 - 4:10PM Taylors Wines Rating 0 - 58 Handicap (1300 METRES)

MAGNO has good soft form and he was very good behind Aston Rapova two starts back before being beaten 2.9 lengths behind Venusian at Murray Bridge. This looks a nice race for him. CANIDAE is racing well and has very good form on soft and heavy ground. FLASH PANTHER is a former NSW galloper who is a winner in heavy ground and must be kept safe here. SHOPSTER was a Gawler winner two starts back and he has solid appeal in a race like this despite the barrier. MOSCOW MULE was racing well at the end of last campaign and has trialled up well for his return. CHELIMO is former Queensland galloper with some OK soft track form.

SELECTIONS: 5 MAGNO, 17 Canidae, 7 Flash Panther, 13 Shopster

PLAY: MAGNO each-way.
