Port Lincoln Racing Season Delayed

Racing SA in conjunction with the Port Lincoln Racing Club wish to advise that the commencement  of the upcoming Port Lincoln racing season will be delayed due to issues with the racing surface.

The race meetings originally scheduled for October 2022 have been transferred, with an additional meeting to be run at the end of the season, on Sunday 16 April 2023.

Race meetings scheduled for Wednesday 12 October 2022 and Sunday 23 October 2022 will be transferred to Balaklava and Clare respectively, with preference in the ballot order and travel subsidies (subject to conditions) given to Port Lincoln and Eyre Peninsula trainers.

“Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula is a key region for racing in this state and while we are disappointed that the season will be delayed, we have worked to minimise the disruption to local participants,” Racing SA chief operating officer, Vaughn Lynch said.
