Sportsbet partners with Gawler, Port Lincoln & Oakbank

Further highlighting its commitment to South Australian racing, Sportsbet will be the naming rights partner of the Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club, Oakbank Racing Club and Port Lincoln Racing Club for the next three years.

With a shared vision to help drive new fans to the sport, Sportsbet will use its resources to help encourage more people to attend these tracks on raceday while enhancing the on-course experience through fun and innovative activations.

The clubs will now be referred to as Sportsbet Gawler, Sportsbet Oakbank and Sportsbet Port Lincoln in the form guide.

The move comes on the back of the seven-year deals Sportsbet signed with Racing SA, Country Racing SA and the South Australian Jockey Club earlier this year, which has seen prizemoney for SA’s four Group 1s double to $1 million, as well as the successful $100,000 Putt For Dough activation during the Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival at Morphettville on top of other local initiatives.

“Sportsbet is excited to partner with Gawler, Oakbank and Port Lincoln, continuing to show our support of the South Australian racing industry,” Sportsbet’s chief financial officer Nathan Arundell said. “We look forward to working with the clubs to do things differently and attract new audiences to racing.”

Gawler chief executive officer Nicole Arnold said:

“We are thrilled about our partnership with Sportsbet and eagerly look forward to collaborating on innovative ideas to attract patrons trackside. This partnership opens up exciting opportunities, and we can't wait to see the impact it will have on our premium race days and the overall experience for our guests.”

Oakbank chair Arabella Branson said:

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Sportsbet and look forward to collaborating to bring even more energy and excitement to the iconic Oakbank Easter Carnival.”

Port Lincoln general manager Elouise Dukalskis said:

“Port Lincoln Racing Club has long been regarded as a destination for quality racing and exceptional race day experiences. Our new partnership with Sportsbet marks an exciting transition for our club, enhancing our ability to deliver top-tier racing events through new market insights, an expanded customer reach, and the funds to elevate the on-course atmosphere at our feature race days. We congratulate the team at Sportsbet and Racing SA for their efforts in building this relationship, and look forward to working closely with Sportsbet to further develop innovative ways to engage the racing audience at our proud club.”

Sportsbet is now naming rights sponsor for seven thoroughbred courses across Victoria and South Australia, including Sandown, Pakenham, Ballarat and Wangaratta.
