RACE 1 - 11:35AM Carlton Draught Maiden Plate (900 METRES)

SWITCH HIT is an $80k yearling on debut for Mitch Freedman and won a Casterton trial ahead of his debut. He draws out but should run well. SHINOHARA was OK on debut beaten 4.4 lengths behind Wee Dram at Gawler and draws a good gate. FALLING LEAVES was a $2.70 favourite when beaten 6.5 lengths behind Bellonado here and was placed at her previous two. DANGEROUS SECRET was placed here last time out back in January over 1400m but draws wide.

RACE 2 - 12:10PM The Mount Plumbing Services Maiden Plate (900 METRES)

BOLTONOVA had market support and was slow into stride and then sent forward in a rush to find the lead when beaten 3.5 lengths behind Percidian over 1100m at Gawler. The drop back to 900m looks ideal and he’ll give a sight. BELLA RUSSIAN is a 2yo filly on debut for Paul Preusker who has had the five jump outs and won one at Ararat in February and did enough running 3rd in his most recent at Stawell. BOMBISCUIT was beaten 2.9 lengths here on debut behind Santastico in September last year and then beaten 5.35 lengths at Dunkeld. She was OK in a Casterton trial and must be respected. KUIPTO KISS has been placed at her past couple behind Lingani at KI in February and then at Clare behind Bonjour Mon Armour at Clare. WALLUNGUNDER debuts for Belinda O’Loughlin and was OK beaten 2.8 lengths in a Casterton trial.

HARD LEAF was OK beaten 6.9 lengths in a handy 2yo race behind Colmar at Murray Bridge two runs back and comes out if the Oaklands Plate where he was held up in the home straight at a crucial stage, then got going when the race was over beaten 10 lengths behind Femminile. He draws the good gate and this is a massive drop in class. RHINESTONE RORY was OK beaten 2 lengths behind Linking at Balaklava last time when resuming and draws out. DR VENKMAN debuts for Andrew Clarken and was beaten 4.5 lengths behind Crown Riches in a recent Murray Bridge trial. BONANSKI was OK here last time when beaten 2.6 lengths behind The Call Me Dusty. AMOURENTE won a jump out leading into his debut and had some support at odds when beaten 14.45 lengths behind Amizetta at Stawell. ALITTLEBITAPOLLY was well beaten in two runs here last year but has jumped out OK.

MY CRACKLING was beaten 2.4 lengths behind Longer Route at Balaklava two runs back and then beaten 6.6 lengths behind Saint Michael there last time when he got a long way back and wide. He’s been placed at five of 16 and gets his chance here. SUENAMI ROSE had a good run and was OK when beaten 7.55 lengths behind Snow On Her at Casterton last time. She draws the inside. SHOT AT THE NIGHT can improve here, he won two jump outs before resuming and when he led and folded up late when well beaten behind Makewhole at Warrnambool over 2000m. SANDY’S REWARD showed improvement at odds when beaten 2.2 lengths behind Battle Royle at Naracoorte. LUDO has been placed at his past two at Warracknabeal and Murray Bridge. HUGHIE’S SPIRIT was narrowly beaten here two runs back before he was well beaten at Warracknabeal. IVAN is first-up for Garret Lynch and was a $101 chance when beaten 3.74 lengths at Albury last time out.

RACE 5 - 1:55PM Blue Lake Bar & Bistro Class One Handicap (900 METRES)

CALL TO GLORY has been in the money at four of five starts and won his maiden at Edenhope two runs back before he was beaten 0.75 lengths behind She’s Xtravagant at Ballarat on the synthetic last time when she worked early, sat outside the speed and was only swallowed up late over the 1000m. The drop back to 900m is ideal. GRASSMERE DIAMOND was 4th in that Edenhope race before he won a Casterton maiden when he led throughout to beat Ma Belle Grise. She’s speedy and will give a sight. LACEMAKER was runner-up at Bendigo three runs back and looked good when she wasn’t knocked around running second in a recent Casterton trial. Her fresh record is very good. BORNEO has a win and 2nd from two starts here and comes off a big effort beaten 4.56 lengths behind Destiny’s Prophet at Donald when he covered plenty of ground. EMMOOKI MAGIC was 2nd here behind Game Cove two runs back and then beaten 4 lengths behind Damaged at Balaklava last time. TRUSTFALL won a maiden at Hamilton last November and was OK there last time when beaten 4 lengths behind Power Missile.

OSTILE was a Kyneton maiden winner back in November and beaten 9.75 lengths behind Vegas On Fire at Donald last time. HONOUR THE SKILLS has two wins and two second from four starts here and was on speed when beaten 0.92 lengths behind Alibey at Warrnambool APEROL SPRINT was OK beaten 6.5 lengths in 4th behind Smiling Assassin on the Parks. FAST ‘N’ FORWARD is a six-time winner here but beaten 10.3 lengths behind Imposing Suspect here last time. PERSIAN EMPIRE can improve here after two runs back and gets the claim.

He was beaten 9.8 lengths behind Pure Paradise there in a strong form race and looks well placed here. POWER MISSILE has won two of his past four and was too good for A Good Yarn at Hamilton two starts back before he was beaten 4.7 lengths behind El Rocko at Ballarat. CRACKLE ‘N’ BURN was a winner her three starts back and then $3.50 favourite when beaten 2.4 lengths behind Miso here. He led when beaten 4 lengths behind Waimarie at Bendigo last time out abut gets blinkers for the first time. STORM VOYAGER resumes and was placed at two of four before a break, the latest behind Winning Revolution at Morphettville in March. THREE GRAND was a Stawell winner two starts back and then beaten 3 lengths in 3rd at Cranbourne. OMARU POPPY led throughout to score back in grade here last time. DOTHRAKI is a winner here and comes out of the Golden Topaz when well beaten behind Press Down.

He was beaten 10.3 lengths behind Whisky Sour at Gawler last time and should give a race like this a shake from a good gate. FIRST TOSEN was beaten 5. 1 lengths in 5th behind Navy Gold at Balaklava before he followed up with a 5.6 length 10th behind Longwarry at Murray Bridge when he had market support from $7 into $5.
OUR ELLIE ROSE was beaten 5.2 lengths behind Pythagoras here two starts back and then beaten 7.8 lengths in 6th behind Bon Hombre at Warracknabeal last time. She has a good record here and can improve. Stablemate INNOCENT PEGG was placed here in May and then again at Penola, her latest was OK beaten 5.25 lengths behind Fiorensact. FOEVER WAITING was OK here two starts back beaten 3.2 lengths behind Donation and was big odds up in class when beaten 5.2 lengths behind King Moya.

SNAPTOF has a good record here and was too good for Private Jet here in January and beaten 4 lengths behind Just Like Lisa before a Tosan break. PERDITION was a Swan Hill winner two starts back beating What A Flirt before he was well beaten at Donald last time, his previous form on a heavy track was good. HE’S GODSPEED was a Warrnambool winner back in December and has been big odds his past couple the latest beaten 4.22 lengths behind Elba at Geelong.
