Racing SA & Racing.com announce two-year rights extension

Racing.com will continue to be the broadcast home of South Australian racing after a two-year rights extension was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Racing SA CEO Vaughn Lynch and Racing.com CEO Peter Campbell were on course at Balaklava on Wednesday to make the announcement, which will see the key broadcast partnership continue for at least another two years.

It means Racing SA will join Racing Victoria as the only two racing codes of any type to have 365 day a year free-to-air coverage nationally on Channel 78 (metro areas) and 68 (regional areas).

“I am pleased to announce that Racing SA has extended our media rights partnership with Racing.com for a further two years,” Lynch said.

“South Australian racing has benefited from the partnership with Racing.com and we look forward to continuing working together to promote the industry.”

Racing.com is available on Channels 78/68 free to air,  in HD via Kayo, Foxtel, Foxtel Now and Go, and through the Racing.com App and website, providing punters unprecedented access to both South Australian and Victorian racing whether that be in homes or on the go around the country.

Campbell said: “Racing.com is extremely pleased to continue this historical partnership with Racing SA which will also see the continued investment in the popular Get On SA program, as well as the ongoing presence in the coverage of our local South Australian based presenter and form analyst.

“Continuing to make SA Racing and Victorian Thoroughbred Racing as accessible to as many people as possible via free to air, BVOD, subscription TV, OTT services and direct to consumer is a boon for people to use whatever screen they choose, and wherever, or whenever they choose.

“And continued distribution of SA Racing via Entain New Zealand and SIS ensures that SA Racing will also continue to make its mark to international viewers and punters as well.

“On behalf of Racing.com, I’d like to thank the Board and Management of Racing SA for their continued partnership with us.”
