How it played last time:
2 x winners settled on pace, 4 x winners settled midfield and 3 x winners settled towards the rear.
Verdict:
With the rail out as far as it is, horses on pace and drawn well have historically had some advantage, however the track has played fairly in recent meetings, with winners coming from any position in the field. There is some fill from the fence to the one off position, with a relatively fresh pad of grass from the three wide line out. It would not surprise therefore, to see horses commence runs on the circle and use most of the width of the straight to make finishing runs.
