Jolly opts to keep Alleboom in Adelaide

Richard and Chantelle Jolly will avoid a wide gate at Moonee Valley on Friday night with Alleboom.

Narrowly beaten by subsequent Wylie winner Free Of Debt first-up from a spell before an impressive win at Morphettville, Alleboom was accepted in the opening heat of the Moonee Valley 55 Second Challenge over the 955m.

“He drew a little wide, so we opted to leave him here,’’ Richard Jolly said.

“We’re really happy with how he’s going,’’ he said.

Alleboom is marked a $3.90 favourite at Morphettville and the stable is excited for the return of All Banter after she trialled brilliantly earlier in the week.

“We’re really happy with how she’s come up,’’ Jolly said of All Banter.

“She had knee surgery but seems to have come back well. She’s going to run Saturday week in a 1000m (race) and then a fortnight later is the (Group 2) Caulfield Sprint, that’s her aim this prep,’’ he said.

Strathalbyn mare Eperdument, who was runner-up behind Good Idea in the Adelaide Cup, makes her Melbourne debut at Moonee Valley in the $200,000 Group 3 JRA Cup while Andrew Clarken has also accepted with Magna Bella in the $300,000 Group 2 Stock Stakes over 1600m.
