Star South Australian sprinter Gytrash is in perfect order ahead of Saturday’s $15m Everest (1200m) at Randwick in Sydney.
Gytrash had his final key gallop at Warwick Farm on Wednesday morning and co-trainer Gordon Richards can’t fault the horse ahead of his second tilt at the world’s richest race on turf.
“He had his final hit-out this morning and I couldn’t be happier,’’ Richards said.
“He went to the line really strong and has pulled up really well.
“He’ll have a couple of easy days and be ready for Saturday,’’ he said.
Gytrash is marked a $8 chance with tab.com.au and has drawn to get every chance after drawing barrier one.
“The rest is up to him,’’ Richards said.
