Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: SIDEARM (Race 5)

EACH-WAY: CALYPSO REIGN (Race 9)

VALUE: WHISKEY ‘N’ WOMEN (Race 4)

RACE 1 - 12:05PM White Claw Handicap (1200 METRES)

Looks an open race on paper. Victorian raider MAKING CONTACT looks well placed here coming off a Moe win and the Price/Kent Jnr usually place their horses perfectly. He draws to get a gun run and has Todd Pannell. BROTHER’S SHADOW was plain on face value first-up behind Philonize but has the blinkers back on and his form last campaign was excellent for a race like this. The McEvoy runner VALENTIGRA won on debut at Port Lincoln in February and has the two trials under her belt, RESIDUE landed some good bets at big odds to win last time out and must be respected. EYES NEVER LIE has ability, RUN AND TELL is a former Victorian who won well at his local debut but right back in class, ZYCLONIC bolted in at Port Lincoln last time winning by 6.4 len while there has been specking for STRATISFACTION.

SELECTIONS: 3. MAKING CONTACT, 1. Brother’s Shadow, 7. Valentigra

RACE 2 - 12:42PM Canadian Club Handicap (1600 METRES)

Another race I’m not super confident with. REYNOLDS shapes the rapid improver after was only fair first-up from a spell behind Splash Some Cash at Murray Bridge. His best is right up to winning this and he maps to geta gun run from barrier two. The danger looks to be Victorian RIOTOUS MISCHIEF chasing three on the bounce. He comes off wins at Mildura and Ballarat which looks good enough to be right in the mix here and he’s been solid early betting. BIARCHI was good behind Morialta second-up from a break and she should be ready to fire. DEBT COLLECTOR comes off a more than handy effort behind Regalo Di Gaetano in the Murray Bridge Cup and gets some weight relief with the claim.

SELECTIONS: 4. REYNOLDS, 6. Riotous Mischief, 7. Biarchi

RACE 3 - 1:22PM David Loy Handicap (2038 METRES)

Not a lot of depth here. WILD IMAGINATION makes the jump up to 2000m from the mile, has been in the money at six of seven starts and tried hard running 2nd behind Morialta last time. STAR STATUS is proven in this kind of company and defeated Santelmo Fuego three starts back, he gets some help with the claim. EXALTED RUTH is the interesting runner. She was pretty solid behind Enlist, jumps from the 1600m straight to 2000m and was placed in five of seven starts here at Morphettville. Port Lincoln mare BRAMFIELD has a good record but that’s all on her home deck., She is unplaced in seven starts at Morphettville but has a good record over 1950m and could run a race a double figure odds.

SELECTIONS: 7. WILD IMAGINATION, 2. Star Status, 3. Exalted Ruth

RACE 4 - 2:02PM Irish Spring Fling at Morphettville - Saturday November 6th Handicap (Heat 11 Happy Trails Series) (1530 METRES)

Another open race. JAAMINT tried hard behind Splash Some Cash at Murray Bridge last time out and her form this time in work has been very good for a race like this. BOLT BY is solid in the market but the drop back slightly in distance is a slight query. He does have some upside. ENLIST defeated Bolt By last start and should get every chance again here from a middle gate for Todd Pannell. WHISKEY ‘N’ WOMEN looks an improver here she maps to get a good run. BRAZEN FORCE has trialled OK for his debut for Gary and Dean Alexander. AXECAPITAL trialled nicely before battling away OK at Port Lincoln.

SELECTIONS: 4. JAAMINT, 2. Bolt By, 7. Enlist

RACE 5 - 2:45PM The Junction Handicap (1050 METRES)

Pretty keen on former NSW galloper SIDEARM first-up for Will Clarken. He had talent early in his career with John O’Shea and has been placed at six of 13. His trials have been solid and the stable has a very good with horses first-up for them when the blinkers go off. LOHN RANGER has been well supported in early betting on some solid form this time in work and should get a good run with the help of a Ben Price claim. MAGIC DEE races well fresh and has been placed at three of four first-up runs, TOORAK WARRIOR ran OK at a price first-up for Ashton Downing and will go around big odds again but isn’t without a chance. ASTON RAPOVA is going along well.

SELECTIONS: 4. SIDEARM, 1. Lohn Ranger, 2. Toorak Warrior

RACE 6 - 3:30PM Melbourne Cup Day at Morphettville- Tuesday November 2nd Handicap (Heat 12 Happy Trails Series) (1200 METRES)

I’ve got plenty of time for CHILL WITH TEEJAY who was good behind Hearty Lass first-up. She draws perfectly and should take some beating here. OCEAN REWARD ran well when runner-up behind Noname Lane last time and that’s a solid form line for this. He has the claim and has been a shortener since markets opened. CROWNED MONARCH made ground from well back behind Outpost at her first run for David Jolly and has claims. OUTPOST is chasing three on the trot while ELIDI was sent out favourite at Cranbourne last start and must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 2. CHILL WITH TEEJAY, 1. Ocean Reward, 4. Crowned Monarch

RACE 7 - 4:12PM QUBE Logistics Handicap (1200 METRES)

Hard to resist ROCK THE RING who is chasing three wins on end. He’s been making his own luck leading throughout on both occasions the latest beating Alleboom and looks the one they have to run down. The danger is EXTRA TIME who has been racing in great form and finished off strongly behind Pindaric last time. There has been money to suggest GEM OF SCOTLAND will run well first-up in SA for Will Clarken. Her Queensland form is solid, she’s trialled well and gets a Ben price claim. Stablemate BARODA is another former Queenslander also first-up in SA and trialled well, Todd Pannell rides. KENYAN WONDER is first-up and has plenty of talent, HEARTY LASS was a good winner last time but up sharply in class.

SELECTIONS: 9. ROCK THE RING, 3. Extra Time, 4. Gem Of Scotland

RACE 8 - 4:50PM John Letts Cup (Previously Tokyo City Cup) (1800 METRES)

REGALO DI GAETANO was super second-up winning the Murray Bridge Cup last time. He won this race last year and should be peaking for this. He’s the one to beat. Victorian AUSSIE NUGGET was good behind Ghodeleine at Moe in the Cup last start and is sure to give this a shake back in trip with Todd Pannell booked to ride. PERFECT ROUTE was good in the Murray Bridge Cup, and he must be respected here. SIGN OF USSURI looked all out at the end of 1500m in the Gawler Cup the 1800m must be some query but he’s got winning form chasing three on the bounce. RITRATTO was only fair behind Regalo Di Gaetano at Murray Bridge last time, but his best is right up to a race like this. BLOW TORCH made good ground behind Sign Of Ussuri at Gawler last week and should appreciate the extra trip. CLASSY JOE was solid in the Murray Bridge Cup.

SELECTIONS: 2. REGALO DI GAETANO, 7. Aussie Nugget, 8. Perfect Route

RACE 9 - 5:32PM Grand Syndicates Riziz Sprint Series Final (Qualified Horses) (1100 METRES)

CALYPSO REIGN looks perfectly placed here second-up. His best is pretty good and drawing out won’t harm his chances. He looks an each-way play. HARPUNA was off the map when beaten behind Valuable Witness first-up and must be respected here. The Hardacre stable also has SPIN THE REWARD who got the money at nice odds last time. GAZE GRISE battled on well behind Spin The Reward last start but looks a query at the 1200m. RANGER FRANK is racing well winning two of his past three back in class and KISHSTAR was good behind Valuable Witness first-up. AADELAD has OK form for this and TRYGVE could be worth a watch at big odds.

SELECTIONS: 5. CALYPSO REIGN, 13. Harpuna, 7. Spin The Reward
