RACE 1 - 11:52AM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap (1050 METRES)

Richard and Chantelle Jolly hold the key here with three runners. ALPHA FLIGHT was a winner on the Parks in March, finished 2nd in a recent Morphettville trial behind Kasu and draws a nice barrier NISHIKADO was a Gawler winner on debut and draws to get a gun run, the third of their runners WHATSANAMEGEORGE finished 2nd in a Murray Bridge trial but draws wide. James Cummings has NORTHUMBRIA with the blinkers off, but he hasn’t done a lot in three NSW starts, FAST STAR is a Victorian on debut for the Corstens stable.

SELECTIONS: 1 ALPHA FLIGHT, 2 Nishikado, 4 Fast Star, 5 Northumbria
PLAY: Backing ALPHA FLIGHT.

RACE 2 - 12:28PM Thomas Farms Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)

AWEN finished off well behind Kova at Murray Bridge on debut. She draws a nice gate and should run well here. LUCKY BLUE has been placed at his past four and draws a good gate with Todd Pannell. PRETENTIOUS LASS looked good winning a recent Murray Bridge trial and the stable are coming off a win midweek. KATIM’S CLUB was runner-up at Bordertown on debut. BUBBLE OVER has been runner-up his past couple and draws a good barrier.

SELECTIONS: 6 AWEN, 1 Lucky Blue, 10 Pretentious Lass, 9 Katim’s Club
PLAY: Something each-way on PRETENTIOUS LASS.

RACE 3 - 1:03PM Furphy Handicap (1800 METRES)

GATE CRASH has won 4 of 10 and was good when 3rd behind Mark Of The Man at Sandown last time. He draws a good barrier and can was a Sandown winner four runs back. He can find winning form. SIGN OF USSURI comes back to Adelaide and has a good record here. The last time at Morphettville he finished 2nd behind Regalo Di Gaetano in the John Letts Cup at Listed level. He draws well and gets in OK after the claim. UNIQUE ARTIST was a $1.85 favourite here back in February in the Premier’s Plate when runner-up behind Wyclif. He’s fitter and the extra trip is ideal. ICHIBANSAN has been racing well but draws an awkward barrier.

SELECTIONS: 3 GATE CRASH, 1 Sign Of Usuri, 5 Unique Artist, 7 Ichibansan
PLAY: Backing SIGN OF USSURI the place.

RACE 4 - 1:38PM Spring Carnival at Morphettville (October 8th - November 5th) Handicap (1100 METRES)

Good race. TEQUILA TIME has an exceptionally good record having won 9 of 34, he’s won 4 of 6 first-up and maps to get a gun run from the inside gate with a claim. SPANISH HEIRLOOM was a good winner first-up. She’s won 8 of 21 starts, draws a nice gate and is going to take some running down again here. PINDARIC is a promising horse who is on the comeback from injury. He won 6 of his first 8 starts and is a horse with a lot of upside. LITCHFIELD COUNTY was a good winner second-up for the Clarken stable and will appreciate the massive drop in weight despite stepping up in class. WOTUWANT is flying and followed an impressive Murray Bridge win with a good effort behind I’m A Legend at Gawler.

SELECTIONS: 1 TEQUILA TIME, 3 Spanish Heirloom, 4 Pindaric, 8 Litchfield County
PLAY: Happy to back TEQUILA TIME each-way here.

RACE 5 - 2:13PM The Junction Handicap (1600 METRES)

ANGELIC SCENT was a Geelong winner two starts back and comes off a good effort behind It’s True at Flemington. She draws a good barrier and looks well suited in a race like this. MELODY MAN didn’t do a lot first-up from a spell behind Zoulah but should appreciate getting up to a mile here and gets some weight relief. KYSHAKA didn’t do a lot first-up but her best is up to a race like this, she was placed in the Terang Cup back in April and is big odds. MONTEPULCIANO is another who should appreciate getting up in trip and has had market support in both runs back. MALINONG CLUB has been racing well and freshened since she faded after racing up on speed at Mt Gambier back in June.

SELECTIONS: 3 ANGELIC SCENT, 1 Melody Man, 6 Kyshaka, 2 Montepulciano
PLAY: Something small on KYSHAKA at big odds.

RACE 6 - 2:53PM Dominant Handicap (1600 METRES)

Victorian horses look to hold the key here. KNIGHT BACHELOR was well beaten on debut at Bendigo when favourite before going to Ballarat on the synthetic and winning by 5 lengths. He draws the inside and is going to take some running down again. OCEAN RAIDER is another Victorian who was a winner on the Pakenham synthetic two starts back but draws a wide barrier. MORNINGTON MASK is a maiden who made good ground behind Delicious Tycoon at Sandown last time. RISING LEGEND has been racing well. THE BIG KAHUNA came off the speed to win a Mt Gambier maiden but draws the extreme outside.

SELECTIONS: 2 KNIGHT BATCHELOR, 5 Ocean Raider, 10 Mornington Mask, 3 Rising Legend
PLAY: Something each-way on MORNINGTON MASK.

RACE 7 - 3:33PM Grand Syndicates - Join Team Grand Today! Handicap (1050 METRES)

Plenty of winning chances. JAAZEB comes up favourite on the back of a solid effort last start when he closed strongly behind Calla Dream. His overall record is sound, the stable is going well and is bursting to win a race. ULTIMATE VICTORY hit the line well first-up behind Litchfield County. He jumps slightly in trip and the bigger track suits his chances, but he is a horse who needs some luck in running. EXPRESS MASTER is a former Victorian who had some specking when he won smartly at Murray Bridge. MISS MUCINNI was favourite in the same race, her best is right up to a race like this. Stablemate SHE’S A TOFF can roll forward from a good gate and did win at Strathalbyn and Oakbank earlier in the year. MAGIC PHANTOM was a good winner at Murray Bridge beating Grand Host but draws out. HANABI is another who comes up short enough but was OK behind Calla Dream last time and has the inside barrier. ZION was only fair first-up in SA for the Clarken stable. He draws poorly.

SELECTIONS: 3 JAAZEB, 5 Ultimate Victory, 6 Express Master, 10 Miss Mucinni
PLAY: Backing ULTIMATE VICTORY each-way at the odds.

RACE 8 - 4:13PM Lightning Stakes (1050 METRES)

KALLOS won the G2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington back in October before chasing home Home Affairs in the G1 Coolmore. He’s had the two trials in preparation for his return winning his first at Hawkesbury and then running 2nd at Randwick, he draws a perfect gate and looks the horse to beat. EXTREMELY LUCKY has been kept fresh since he blitzed rivals here on Goodwood Day. He’s an exciting type with enormous potential but may just need this run and draws a sticky gate. UNFLINCHING won his first three starts before running 5th behind Generation at Caulfield in the Manfred last time. SCORCHED EARTH has a good record and races well fresh. I AM BENE is a local with used and comes of a super run behind Seradess in the Proud Miss in May. ROYAL DRESS comes off two wins at Swan Hill and Donald and is a filly with upside. Stablemate MIETTA has won her only two starts at Ballarat on the synthetic. OJOSAN was specked before winning at Caulfield last time and maps well from a good barrier. CALLA DREAM has been in great form and draws a tricky barrier. KEEP READING draws a nice barrier and MAGIC MAX is one who could be an improver at odds.

SELECTIONS: 1 KALLOS, 5 Extremely Lucky, 2 Unflinching, 6 Scorched Earth,
PLAY: Keen on KALLOS here.

RACE 9 - 4:50PM Zilzie Wines Handicap (1200 METRES)

AGRIMONY was good running 5th behind Squid Game at Flemington last time. He had a gun run to win here first-up before no luck at Murray Bridge and should give this a shake. CLAMARC finished off strongly behind Litchfield County last time and should appreciate stepping up to 1200m and a middle barrier. OCEAN REWARD has been placed at three of five starts here and should run well. PIMM’S PARTY draws a nice barrier and hit the line strongly behind Oh Mo last time, stablemate EYES NEVER LIE is capable with the right run but draws a tricky gate. CIRCLE OF MAGIC draws awkwardly but is worth some thought.

SELECTIONS: 7 AGRIMONY, 15 Clamarc,  9 Ocean Reward, 10 Pimm's Party
PLAY: Something each-way on CLAMARC at the price.
