RACE 1 - 11:42AM The Junction Maiden Plate (2008 METRES)

VIC REEL can break through here. She was good running 4th behind Prince Tikea at Gawler on debut and followed with another solid effort running 2nd behind Lake Titicaca there last week. The step up in trip looks ideal. SOARLIKEANEAGLE is lightly raced and made good ground from well back behind Chartin at Murray Bridge last time. PLAYBOY CHARLIE has had a few chances and was OK behind Wolf Prince last time. GOLDEN BEAUTY also ran OK when 3rd in the Lake Titicaca race at Gawler last time and should appreciate getting out in trip.

SELECTIONS: 11 VIC REEL, 5 Soarlikeaneagle, 4 Playboy Charlie, 10 Golden Beauty

PLAY: Backing VIC REEL.

RACE 2 - 12:22PM Grand Syndicates Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (Heat of TAB Rebel Raider Series) (1050 METRES)

Richard and Chantelle Jolly’s DAUNTING DECISION has the race experience and has been placed at 2 of 3. She ran a short-priced favourite at Mindarie-Halidon two starts back when beaten and then was again easy in the market when 2nd behind Lucky Fortuna at Balaklava. Jake Toeroek is going with NOBLE MAGNATE who won a recent trial is the best guide. Will Clarken’s UMARELL could be the one, he’s looked pretty good winning his past two trials.

SELECTIONS: 5 UMARELL, 2 Noble Magnate, 7 Daunting Decision, 11 Super Alana

PLAY: Backing UMARELL.

RACE 3 - 1:02PM Fotobase Group Maiden Plate (1600 METRES)

FLITTELL was runner-up at Balaklava three starts back and was then sent out favourite and OK when 5th behind Al Ranchero at Gawler. He wasn’t beaten far last time and finds himself in a very winnable maiden. VANITY STAR has been around the mark placed at Gawler behind Prince Tikea two starts back and then OK behind Lake Titicaca. ZARATSU ran well behind Dash It at Balaklava, MARDENE ran an odds-on favourite in a Strathalbyn maiden in May but has had a few chances.

SELECTIONS: 3 FLITTELL, 8 Vanity Star, 9 Zaratsu, 7 Mardene

PLAY: Staying out of this one.

RACE 4 - 1:40PM Rexco People Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

SOLAR BLAST has placed at 4 of 5 runs and was good behind Killiako on the Parks last time out. He draws wide but gets his chance. CHARLESFORT is on debut for Chris Bieg and was a high-priced yearling making his local debut. He has trialled nicely. PLATINUM WOLF is on debut Kristi Evans and has trialled up well, LORD GEORGE is another on debut and also trialled OK. TAN TAT BEAU has been 2nd at all 4 starts, the latest behind Grey River and must be respected from a good gate. FLEURIEU FLIPPER has been runner-up at 4 of 7 starts and was game behind Second To Nun first-up from a break. He looks well placed from an inside gate. SEAFARING ran OK in the same race at a price. BUTTS ran OK behind Tickety Boom at Murray Bridge last time.

SELECTIONS: 10 SOLAR BLAST, 7 Charlesfort, 2 Fleurieu Flipper, 6 Tat Tan Beau

PLAY: Happy to watch the market.

RACE 5 - 2:55PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Class One Handicap (1050 METRES)

HEAVEN’S WISH was well tried on debut winning at Murray Bridge in July. She draws a sticky gate but has been solid in betting and should take some beating. LUCKY FORTUNA came from off the speed to run down rivals and win smartly at Balaklava on debut. She looks to have upside and looks a big danger. JUSTAKIDD has been placed his past couple and maps to get a good run from a middle gate. LUNAR SOLAR is lightly raced and won at Wangaratta back in May. TICKETY BOOM won a Murray Bridge maiden on debut. ROXY BLUE ran a race at big odds behind Chosen Blonde last time but draws out.

SELECTIONS: 7 HEAVEN’S WISH, 8 Lucky Fortuna, 1 Justakidd, 2 Lunar Solar

PLAY: Backing HEAVEN’S WISH.

RACE 6 - 3:35PM Thomas Foods Class Two Handicap (1200 METRES)

KONG has finished 2nd at 7 of his past 10, he deserves to break through and gets in OK after the claim. Stablemate KUNGKA MARU was well backed to run favourite when 3rd behind Graceful Eagle and should get a gun run from the good gate. MR METRICS drifted when down the track first-up but can improve here, stablemate DINGABLEDINGA has been scratched a couple of times for this. VICTORY CLUB has been well tried in early markets.

SELECTIONS: 1 KONG, 7 Kungka Maru, 2 Mr Metrics, 3 Victory Club

PLAY: Watching on.

RACE 7 - 4:15PM Furphy Benchmark 64 Handicap (Heat of TAB Skybeau Series) (2008 METRES)

BUSKER’S BALLAD should be ready to peak third-up here. His latest was good beaten 2.1 lengths behind Oath Of Omerta and his Adelaide Cup run was very good. BELLAVARDO is racing well and was a Gawler winner before chasing home The Map last time, that’s a good form line for a race like this. COMFORT GIRL could be an improver third-up and out in trip. She’ll get a good run from the inside. SO BENE is back in trip after chasing home The Rattlin’ Bog over 3340m at Gawler last time. She’s running out of chances but does look well placed in this class. AFRICAN AWESOME has been around the mar and maps to get a good run. BLACK SYRAH has a good record here and has been specked at odds.

SELECTIONS: 2 BUSKER’S BALLAD, 6 Bellavardo, 7 Comfort Girl, 8 So Bene

PLAY: Something each-way on COMFORT GIRL.

RACE 8 - 4:55PM House of Arras Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat of TAB Riziz Series) (1100 METRES)

SACRED ARMOUR has a handy record and has placed at 2 of 4 here. He draws out but should run well. RIZSKI comes off a good Murray Bridge win beating See You Later Now. He races well here and like the sting out. VIDUKA has a good record here and strips fitter for two runs back. JEAN VALJEAN resumes and has trialled OK, OLD TIME ROCK is racing well.

SELECTIONS: 3 SACRED ARMOUR, 8 Rizski, 2 Viduka, 4 Old Time Rock

PLAY: Backing SACRED ARMOUR.

RACE 9 - 5:39PM G.H.Mumm Benchmark 62 Handicap (Heat of Restricted Series) (1600 METRES)

AMEGDUL has won his past three but draws a sticky gate. He gets in OK after the claim and has been heavily backed since markets opened. SAVILLE has shown his share of ability, his past couple have only been fair, but he’d take beating on his win in August beating So You Can. REBEL LEE has been specked at odds and was a Gawler winner four starts back and then jumped favourite when 7th behind Mug’s Game last start. She should give this a shake. LORD LUKER was also a little plain first-up behind Motell at Murray Bridge but has trialled well since and gets blinkers foe the first time. DOROTHY ROSE won well first-up for her new stable and was then OK behind Bamyan Buddha last time, the winner has done so again since.

SELECTIONS: 1 AMEGDUL, 5 Saville, 18 Rebel Lee, 8 Lord Luker

PLAY: Something each-way on REBEL LEE (2/3).
