Adelaide filly Bona Fide Star will dive in the deep end when she tackles Saturday’s $175,000 Merson Cooper Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.

The Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle-trained filly beat home all but Cherokee Miss at Murray Bridge on debut with Jordon Childs booked to ride from barrier five.

“She ran well on debut,’’ part-owner Simon Charlton said.

“There looks to be a couple of nice horses from the (James) Cummings stable but I think she can run well,’’ he said.

South Australia has a strong hand at Caulfield.

David Jolly's Streetcar Stranger lines up in the Listed Doveton Stakes alongside Richard and Chantelle Jolly's Daring Move, while Daring Move's stablemate See You In Heaven takes on the boys in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas

Jon O’Connor’s Grey River tackles the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes over 1400m on the back of a big effort at Flemington in the Desirable Stakes on Oaks Day, Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas’ Another Award runs in the Group 3 Summoned Stakes while Montign steps out in the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes.
