Racing community mourns loss of Denis Edmonds

The SA Racing community is mourning the passing of Denis Edmonds who passed away on Wednesday evening.

Edmonds served as the Registrar of the Racing Appeals Tribunal since 2015 and was a member of the Racing SA Jumps Review Panel since 2012. The South Australian Racing Appeals Tribunal is responsible for hearing and determining appeals from participants in all three racing codes in South Australia. Edmonds was also a member of the South Australian Parole Board, and prior to joining the Racing Appeals Tribunal, Edmonds served as Detective Chief Superintendent with the South Australian Police Force.

“Denis was an asset to the Racing Appeals Tribunal, and he served the Tribunal as Registrar with great distinction and professionalism. His efficient organisational skills and pleasant demeanour will be missed. Moreover, Denis was a friend of Racing and we extend our sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time” Racing SA General Manager Integrity, Johan Petzer said.
