RACE 1 - 12:30PM Clare Valley Toyota Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

KALASEC was placed behind Angelique at Morphettville on debut. He was pressure early before being punched out to win a recent Morphettville jump-out smartly and looks the horse to beat. Stablemate SPLISH SPLASH jumped favourite in the same race but was beaten 5.9 lengths and needs to improve. KRISTOBEL is another who hasn’t done a lot wrong in three starts making ground behind Show Royale in the Cinderella Stakes last time. She maps well and will be in the finish. SIR PANAMA was well backed when 6th behind Jewel Bay on the Parks, he draws a nice gate and did catch the eye on debut when 3rd behind Accapella Moon.

SELECTIONS: 1 KALASEC, 3 Kristobel, 2 Sir Panama, 4 Splish Splash
PLAY: Backing KALASEC.

RACE 2 - 1:05PM My Butcher Maiden Plate (2200 METRES)

CONSENSIO is a 23 start maiden who has been placed five times. He showed speed at Geelong last time and must be respected here. EXALTED BELLE is on the quick back-up after running well behind Divine Brew at Murray Bridge on Sunday. SOARLIKEANEAGLE was placed behind Salute The Stars at Morphettville last November and strips fitter for one run back when well beaten at big odds.

SELECTIONS: 2 CONSENSIO, 5 Exalted Belle, 4 Soarlikeaneagle, 9 Inagurate
PLAY: Not a race I’m keen on.

RACE 3 - 1:40PM Atlas Event & Party Hire Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)

VEE ROD was easy in betting on debut and warmed up late behind Fiorada Lad. Out in trip looks ideal. GONG HIM RED is a former Victorian who finished 4th in the Hill Smith Stakes at Morphettville last October and must be respected here. PINCHBECK was placed at Morphettville two starts back but only fair behind Fiorada Lad last time.

SELECTIONS: 10 REBEL MISTRESS, 3 Vee Rod,  6 Gong Him Red, 7 Pinchbeck
PLAY: Something on REBEL MISTRESS each way.

RACE 5 - 2:50PM BTR Excavations Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

FLORAL OASIS is the watch. She was placed in four of six starts in Queensland, has trialled up OK for her SA debut and draws a perfect barrier. Stablemate FREYCINET was sent out favourite but well beaten at Clare first-up. She gets a middle gate and had trialled up well so is worth another chance. POMPEII EMPIRE ran 3rd behind Press Down and then 3rd again behind Warrandyte Road at Strathalbyn before a break. He did run favourite at Morphettville on debut and should give a race like this a shake. MADDISON MISS comes off a good effort when she led running 3rd behind Limited Risk at Murray Bridge. She draws out but must be respected. ROULETTE QUEEN is on debut for Michael Hickmott and trialled OK at Strathalbyn.

SELECTIONS: 11 FLORAL OASIS, 5 Pompeii Empire, 1 Freycinet, 8 Maddison Miss
PLAY: Backing FLORAL OASIS.

RACE 6 - 3:25PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Fillies & Mares Benchmark 56 Handicap (1400 METRES)

PRINCESS SALLY has been placed at her past three at Lock, Penong and Balranald and maps to get a nice run. EXCUSEZ MOI can run well and JOURNEY IN TIME looks well suited. PUISSY GALORE can improve, while GOGOLF GURU is up to a race like this.

LIMITED RISK was well backed and won impressively at Murray Bridge on debut beating Sixteen Reasons. He draws a nice gate and looks a horse capable of measuring up to better races. MANAGE THE CYCLE was good finishing hard behind Larkham on the Parks last time. He’s been in the money at 3 of 4 starts here and gets an inside gate. LUCKY FORTUNA resumes here and was a winner here in October. She has form around some nice horses like Validated and Zufasta and should run well from the nice barrier. WINNING REVOLUTION has been around the mark with placings behind Hongbao and Siyata. He draws wide but should be in the mix here. EASTSIDE DIAMOND was a big drifter before winning at Clare on debut and must be respected from a good barrier. DUCHESS NICCI has been racing well down in class.

PLAY: Keen on LIMITED RISK.
