He looks well placed here. Stablemate OUR DIVINYL gets blinkers for the first time and drops in class after chasing home Heuristic in city class. RACE 3 - 2:27PM anzacappeal.com.au Maiden Plate (1700 METRES)

The in-form Stokes stable has DUNALOCE who has had the four starts and ran 4th at Geelong before running 5th at Pakenham. She looks well placed in a race like this. Stablemate LINES OF GLORY was well beaten here behind Wine Baron last time but did run 4th to Merchant Boss at Morphettville last September which is good form for a race like this. PUISSY GALORE showed improvement running 3rd behind She’s A Karaka at Balaklava. She gets the blinkers from the good gate and should be in the mix. VIC REEL was placed at three of her first four starts and resumed behind Wine Baron here. She’s been back to the trials and getting out in trip looks ideal. PUNCHIN was sent out favourite when 4th behind Barbra’s Wish at Oakbank last time. HOSTESS SUSIE got well back and made good ground running third in the same race.

SELECTIONS: 9 DUNALOCE, 11 Puissy Galore, 12 Vic Reel, 5 Punchin
PLAY: Something on DUNALOCE.

RACE 4 - 3:02PM The Returned & Services League Class Two Handicap (1200 METRES)

HOT ROD BOY is the watch here. He won a Balaklava maiden last May for Roslyn Day and now debuts for the Clarken/O’Shea stable on the back of two trials. He draws the middle gate and wears the blinkers for the first time. JACKS ON ICE is suited here. He was good behind Magic Max first-up at Morphettville and that’s strong form for a race like this. LANCELOTTO draws the inside and led throughout to win at Murray Bridge last time out, he gets in well after the claim and should take running down. YEELANNA who should be ready to peak third-up from a spell. TEA RAV draws a nice gate and can improve. SUPER SHARP is a winner here and fitter for one run back.

PLAY: Something on HOT ROD BOY each-way.

PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL has been placed at her past four, she was held-up and arguably should have won at Port Lincoln last time when 3rd behind Dexter You Devil. She draws out but has a good record here. HERE COMES LENNI has been knocking on the door running 4th behind Ichibansan at Morphettville two starts back before being beaten 5 lengths behind Clever Man at Oakbank. He draws a good gate and can go on with it here. QUEBECOIS missed the start and wasn’t beaten far at Morphettville two starts back. PERLUBIE BEACH comes out of the same race where he finished 4th and should get a nice run from the gate. DIVINE BREW looks over the odds if you overlook last start in the Port Guineas. His maiden win two starts back was OK.

ALLUSION has been good in two runs back running 2nd at Balaklava before finishing 3rd behind Fight For Freedom at Oakbank. POOL PARTY was on speed and boxed on OK at Strathalbyn last time. VALENTIGRA looked to have her chance when 4th behind She’s A Karaka at Balaklava last time. The Ros Day pair of WYNTER LADY and JOURNEY IN TIME are worth some thought.
