PLAY: Something on HOT OFF the place.

RACE 2 - 12:07PM Growth IQ Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

Another tricky race. WALLY WEST trialled up nicely before being beaten as favourite at both runs back, he draws out which should suit and this a very winnable race. FANCIFY is on debut for Michael Hickmott and improved at her second jump-out. AMBELLO has been placed at four of seven and ran well at Casterton last time which is an OK form race for this. IMITATOR was OK on debut when 3rd behind Bellalique at Gawler. Stablemate OH SHOW was OK running 3rd behind Imperial Seal at Gawler last time.

SELECTIONS: 7 WALLY WEST, 12 Fancify, 3 Ambello, 1 Oh Show

RACE 3 - 12:42PM PLC Straight Up Handicap (2500 METRES)

VERIMLI was well backed at his local debut behind Clever Man at Oakbank and then well beaten behind Hasta La War in the Port Adelaide Cup. He draws a middle gate and would be winning this if he can find his Victorian form running 3rd in the 2022 Bendigo Cup behind High Emocean. DIXIE WHISTLER races well in these types of races, he was a winner on the Parks back in March and maps to get a gun run. MASTER OF ZERPRISE was a winner here three runs back and OK run back in trip before he got off the canvas to win at Balaklava midweek. SMILING ASSASIN ran 6th in the same race and will appreciate getting out in trip, he has a good record this track and trip and was a Gawler and Oakbank winner back in April.
