Trial Trio: Strathalbyn 21 September

TRIAL 7

WIGGUM
Nice three-year-old trained by Travis Doudle who we saw shoot over the border to win his maiden at Ballarat in May before chasing home Bolted In on the Parks. He sat off the speed and was taken wide on the turn to round up rivals nicely for Dom Tourneur.

TRIAL 8

CALL TO COMMAND
Will Clarken and Nikki O’Shea trained galloper who was having his third trial. Sat up on speed and pulled out plenty in the run to the line to win by 2.1 lengths for Kayla Crowther. Still very green and a horse with upside, I liked the trial of runner-up I Tell Ya What for Jon O’Connor as well, two horses worth keeping an eye out for when they hit the races.

TRIAL 13

AERONOMIC
Jake Stephens trained six-year-old who has had just the one race start last July, but she looked very good sitting behind a solid speed before cruising through the line to win under a good hold for Lachie Neindorf and should knock her maiden off in the coming weeks.

OTHERS TO WATCH
SECOND TO NUN (Trial 5)  - Sat back, saved ground under a hold and has come back in good order.
GOLD SPY (Trial 10) - Closed smartly late without being asked to do a lot.
MYOCEAN WARRIOR (Trial 12) - Rode the speed and raced away for a dominant 5.4 length win.
ICONIC JEWEL (Trial 14) – Given an easy time of it after sitting off the leaders in 4th spot.
