RACE 1 - 12:32PM Zonte's Footstep Handicap (Heat of TAB Happy Trails Series) (1600 METRES)

THIRSTY GUEST got well back behind Chicago Storm in the Gawler Cup two runs back before he never looked to travel well but still finished off OK behind Midnight Mass here last time when a $1.50 fav. He’s a nice horse, drawn to atone and Jake Toeroek goes on! PLATINUM WOLF was placed at his first two runs back from a break before another solid effort when 3rd behind The Maggstar at Flemington. He draws a middle gate and looks well placed. He beat home PRINCE JOFRA, who defeated him on the Parks two runs back, his form has been very good this time around and he should be fighting out the finish. EN FRANCAIS was huge running 2nd in the Murray Bridge Cup two starts back before battling behind Wishlor Lass at Moonee Valley. OH MO made ground behind Ocean Reward last time and gets an inside gate, MAGNETIC EDGE is close to winning a race.

RACE 2 - 1:07PM Boileau Business Technology Handicap (1800 METRES)

POISON CHALICE has won three of his past five and was huge at Flemington last week when he got a mile back and flashed home beaten a length behind Picaroon in the Country Final at Flemington. He draws a nice gate and the jump to 1800m looks ideal. JENKINS recorded consecutive wins before another good effort behind Ghetto Supastar last time. He gets the inside gate and should take some beating. SUPERIOR SAM is chasing four wins in succession. He got back and finished hard beating Dual Fuel last time and he’s going to be in the finish again here. WHEELS was well backed form $3.70-$2.60 fav here last time when beaten 4.7 lengths behind Trumpsta. She draws a middle gate and should be in the finish. MIDNIGHT MASS was too good beating Thirsty Guest here last time. He draws a sticky gate but has a good record here and is sure to be in the finish again.

RACE 3 - 1:42PM Claude Haigh Memorial Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

STUPENDOUS was sent out a $2.60 fav when 3rd behind In Her Sights at Balaklava and then made good ground when beaten less then a length behind Our Divinyl here last time. She draws wide but is ready to win and looks well placed. ZARKANA caught the eye first-up this time in when she made good ground beaten 2 lengths behind Hollandaise on the Parks. She has trialled well since and was well tried from $10-$5.50 as soon as markets opened. DIVINE FIRE is on debut for the Clarken/O’Shea stable and comes off a good Gawler trial when 2nd behind Alainge. He draws a middle gate and is sure to give this a big shake. TIPSY VIXEN made ground when beaten 4.6 lengths in 4th behind Great Maxiumus here last time. She draws out but should run well. VEXATIOUS DANCER has trialled up well for her debut running 2nd behind Kalasec in a recent trial and she should run well.

RACE 4 - 2:17PM Logi-Tech Pty Ltd Handicap (1600 METRES)

ALL SO CLEAR brings some solid Victorian form here winning at Ballarat on the turf and synthetic before being narrowly beaten behind Big Brew at Bendigo on Cup. He draws a middle gate and looks hard to beat here. APACHE STAR maps to get a nice run here and led when 2nd behind Miss Kermie on the Parks. There is good speed here. TEST THE LAW boxed on well up on speed when 2.7 lengths 3rd behind Ghetto Superstar here last time. He should run another cheeky race from the good barrier. CALIBURN is another who likes to race handy and was a good winner over Andrew’s Memory here on Melbourne Cup Day. WHISKEY ‘N’ WOMEN was a good Murray Bridge winner two runs back and can improve from a middle barrier.

RACE 5 - 2:52PM RSL Care Handicap (1200 METRES)

SHOOTOOSE is a former Victorian who was good at his SA debut when he finished off strongly running 2nd beaten 1.8 lengths behind Sabermetric here on Melbourne Cup Day. The 1200m looks ideal, he’s been $5.50 into $4.80 and the stable is enjoying a very good run. LOPE DE WOLF finished off strongly first-up from a spell when 4th in the same race. He’s three from six second-up, drawn a perfect gate and should give this a shake. GRINZINGER PRINCE was a good winner on the Parks first-up and then again solid when 3rd behind Mouse Almighty last time over the 1000m. He jumps to 1200m but has to carry 63kg. BOLT BY is first-up for the Jordan Frew stable and has been in the money at two of four first-up runs and has the two trials under his belt.

RACE 6 - 3:27PM Legacy South Australia and Broken Hill Handicap (Heat of TAB Skybeau Series) (2500 METRES)

LONG ARM comes back to Adelaide where he’s been in the money at three of four starts. He was solid running 4th behind The Map at Flemington last time, he draws out, but gets some weight relief and this looks a winnable race. MORTY could be the danger at his first try at 2500m. He was placed at Moonee Valley over 2040m and has raced like a horse who is searching for the extra trip this time in. His best would be very hard to beat. HASTA LA FIORENTE has been racing well winning twice in the South East before he finished 2nd behind Supagirl in the Horsham Cup last time. He draws a middle gate and will be thereabouts. CANFORD was OK after an early move last time out.

PLAY: The top three should be fighting this out.

 

RACE 7 - 4:07PM Mark Lobert Gallery Handicap (1539 METRES)

CHIPSON was an eye catcher first-up from a spell behind Portation at Murray Bridge and then again at Naracoorte when he got well back behind Midnight Mass. His latest was OK behind Ghetto Supastar and this does look his chance to fins winning form. MISSILE STAR came from well back to win at Strathalbyn two runs back and then caught the eye when she made good ground behind Chiko Lake on the Parks last week. She’ll get a soft run from the barrier and should be in the finish. RABTAT got back and worked through the line well behind Ruling Goddess at Strathalbyn and could be ready to improve here third-up. SOUTHERN SHOOTER comes off a good win back in class and looks a horse with upside. DELIGHTFUL SHECKY has been racing well and comes off a Balaklava win beating Mavette. CHEROKEE MISS has been racing well.

RACE 8 - 4:47PM Gary Radford, OAM Memorial Handicap (Heat of TAB Viddora Series) (1100 METRES)

SECOND TO NUN was $2.60 into $2.10 when 3rd behind Anjopin last time on the Parks. She was a Murray Bridge winner in May and gets her chance to find winning form here. TOSEN WATER has won two of her past three, the latest when too good for subsequent winner Master At Arms here. She draws a nice barrier, is a horse on the up and looks hard to beat again. MISS MUCINNI comes off an OK effort when 4th behind Tosen Water and should run well here. STARLITE VALLEY comes off a good run when 3rd behind Sghirripa, she’s been in the money at six of eight starts here and should run well. HOPE AT HAND comes off a good return when beaten 3.6 lengths 4th in the same race. She draws out, gets the claim and looks the improver. LADY SIMONE was a good winner over Exalted Dame here last time and she must be given plenty of thought from the good barrier.

RACE 9 - 5:29PM Those We Serve! Handicap (1050 METRES)

LA DEFENSE was a drifter in betting and got well back before powering over the top of rivals to win in maiden grade at Gawler. He’s a horse with plenty of ability and should take plenty out of the win and looks hard to beat from a good barrier.
WINNING REVOLUTION can run a cheeky race here fresh with the help of a claim. He’s been placed first-up and draws a nice gate. BRAZANO was a good winner first-up at Strathalbyn and was good behind Santastico last time when $4.80-$3.70. He’ll run well from a wide gate.
ALL BEANS has won two his past three and was well found winning here first-up beating REAL VALENTIA.
