RACE 1 - 12:27PM Happy 21st Darcy Gluyas Handicap (1600 METRES)

FLOSSING resumes she was narrowly beaten in a recent trial by Jennilala who won impressively first-up at Flemington last weekend. She draws a good gate, her fresh record is solid and should take some beating here. CONQUEROR was a winner at his only start here and was placed at Flemington two starts back before he was well beaten behind Jimmystar last time. PEARL ADIOS is a horse on the up and did a good job to run down Rising Legend on the Parks last week. He should get a gun run. POOL PONY is racing very well and won three on end before being beaten 0.7 lengths in 2nd behind I’m A Dexstar last time. WILD WILLY battled here two runs back before backing up five days later and winning easily at Hamilton.

RACE 2 - 1:02PM The Fotobase Group Handicap (1800 METRES)

MARIMENKO has been solid in all three runs since coming from the NT and was sent out favourite when 2.7 lengths 3rd behind Titan Of Choice here last time when he looked to have his chance. He draws a middle gate and looks well placed up in trip. JENKINS made good ground behind Pearl Adios last week and gets an inside barrier. Likewise ANGASTON was doing his best work late in that race and draws a nice barrier. JACKAND brings some consistent form over the border and was runner-up behind Prickley Prince over 2000m at Colac last time. WEST CLIFF was sent out the outside of the field and was too strong for rivals beating Karaka Kiwi last time, this looks harder, but he gets some weight relief again. FOX D’OR can run well in a race like this.

RACE 3 - 1:37PM TAB Adelaide Cup Day - Monday March 11th Handicap (1100 METRES)

DESERT DANCING looks a nice filly coming through the grades and she handled the jump from maiden grade to city class beating Texan Windstorm last time. She draws a middle gate and looks perfectly placed again. Stablemate DIVINE FIRE comes off a good win over Proven Correct back in December and is a horse with some upside. SIR SWAY is a nice horse coming through the grades and he won twice back in class before a solid effort when 3rd beaten 2.7 lengths behind KALASEC who was back to his best coming off the speed to beat Mintulee last time. ANOTHERHOUSE resumes and was runner-up behind Walk Like An Angel in the Rebel Raider Final before a break.

SELECTIONS: 6 DESERT DANCING, 3 Sir Sway, 1 Kalasec, 2 Anotherhouse PLAY: Backing DESERT DANCING and a saver on SIR SWAY.

RACE 4 - 2:12PM Quayclean Handicap (1200 METRES)

SHE’S GREYSFUL was impressive at Gawler two starts back when she covered ground before she was backed into a $1.90 and beaten 3.4 lengths behind Toast The Deel on the Parks. She gets the inside and her chance to hit back here. OUTSIDER was sent out a $1.90 favourite at her local debut when beaten 1.3 lengths in 3rd behind Ironedge. She draws out but should be thereabouts. YEELANNA has turned things around winning her past two and maps well from a middle gate. MISS MUSCINNI comes off a winning return at Oakbank, she has plenty of weight but is a more than handy mare on her day. IN HER STRIDE brings some OK Victorian form here, goes well fresh and gets some weight relief. MISSILE STAR can improve.

RACE 5 - 2:47PM Cinderella Stakes (1050 METRES)

CAMPARI TWIST is on debut for Matt Laurie and was $6 into $3.40 after markets opened on the back of two recent jumps out wins at Balnarring, the latest when she was clean from the machine and won by a space. MIND SHIFT comes here on the back of a good run when beaten 2.75 lengths behind Hayasugi in a Blue Diamond Preview. She gets blinkers for the first time, Jason Holder rides and race experience is invaluable. HERASTAR is on debut for Dean Krongold and is another who has been backed early from $15 into $9 on the back of a Balnarring jump-out win, she looks to have plenty of talent and the reason Paul Gatt returns to Adelaide to ride. AD ASTRA has jumped out well and trialled nicely behind Kuroyanagi at Murray Bridge. She draws wide, looks very talented and the stable looks to be getting back to form after a virus. PALM OF JUMEIRAH is on debut for the Stokes stable and looked good winning a recent trial on the Parks. FLYING STRAZ debut s for Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman and won a Pakenham jump-out when ridden out. VILLE DE LUMIERE had specking when narrowly beaten by Kalimna Views at Pakenham on debut. TALISAY had specking when she narrowly beat $1.45 favourite DUCHESS OF SUSSEX here on debut. Matt Seers has GOOD PAR, IN LOVE and SCADALIST who have both trialled nicely ahead of their respective debuts.

SELECTIONS: 7 CAMPARI TWIST, 4 Mind Shift, 10 Harasta, 6 Ad Astra PLAY: MIND SHIFT is the value.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Frank Donnelly's 80 Years and still running Handicap (1050 METRES)

Open race QEUAADY ran a couple of nice races over the border early this preparation. He’s a month between runs and gets some weight relief. LORD MORTON was an Oakbank winner two starts back and made good ground there last time. His best is certainly good enough for a race like this. EL SALTO had market support when he was strong late gunning down Secret War on the Parks last week. He gets in well after the claim. KAIDO was handy to the speed and stuck on well in that race last week, he’s now with Darryl Carrison. WILLASTON has been around the mark and draws a nice barrier. BRAZANO is a horse with some talent and can run well fresh. ZUFASTA has ability, JILLADORA is another with talent and nice drawn towards the inside.

SELECTIONS: 2 QEYAADY, 5 Lord Morton, 1 El Salto, 9 Brazão PLAY: Wide in quadria.

RACE 7 - 3:57PM Lord Reims Stakes (2600 METRES)

THE MAP was impressive first-up from a short break when she powered over the top of rivals to win the JRA Plate. HASTA LA WAR was also solid in the same off an even longer break, both these two should be further improved with that run and getting out in trip. GRAND PROMENADE was placed in this race last year and should be ready to fire third-up for Shane Jackson. UNUSUAL PEARL is chasing three wins in succession and is a lightly raced stayer on the rise but drawn wide. YELLOWBRICK ROAD was a Sandown winner midweek while RAPINOE showed a nice finishing burst when he scored a last stride win at Moonee Valley last week and the middle gate suits.

SELECTIONS: 11 THE MAP, 3 Grand Promenade, 2 Hasta La War, 4 Yellowbrick Road PLAY: Staying with THE MAP.

RACE 8 - 4:37PM City of Marion Stakes (1200 METRES)

MISS ICELANDIC has won five of 10 starts and was well backed to win smartly at Caulfield last time making it three wins on end. She jumps in grade slightly but does look hard to beat from a good draw. SNAPPED won the G3 Proud Miss here beating Grey River back in May she was well beaten first-up behind Kallos in the G2 Rubiton but can improve sharply here even from a wide gate. Stablemate MISS TAKE has won two of her past three the latest at Moonee Valley beating Lazy Susan last time and maps to get a good run. STRUCK BY won the Xmas Hcp here three runs back and was then solid when 3rd in the Chester Manifold at Flemington behind Not An Option. His latest behind Veight was only fair but he drops in grade here. GRINZINGER PRINCE has been in good form and continued when beaten 1.9 lengths in 3rd behind Aitch Two Oh here last time. LARIMER STREET showed improvement second-up behind Celsius Star. ROCKSTAR MEGGSY is flying winning her past couple. CHICAGO STORM is one to follow he’s trialled well but might just need the run. PARTY PRINCESS is a good mare resuming and was placed behind Pudding in the John Letts Cup last time, she’ll be an improver, likewise stablemate AIR ASSAULT resumes since running down the track in the Vic Derby and he’ll be a horse to follow out of this towards the carnival.

RACE 9 - 5:18PM Grand Syndicates Handicap (1200 METRES)

MARACOURT is a watch here on debut for Michael HIckmott. He’s shown more than his share of ability when with Michael O’Leary winning four of 14 starts, two of those coming first-up, and his fresh record is very good. STRUCK GOLD is a Freedman galloper who has been in the money at five of her six starts missing the place for the first time last start at Geelong when a $2.05 favourite. WALLY WEST had no luck two starts back then found himself in a tricky spot from a wide barrier at Galer when beaten a length in 3rd behind Miss Subtly last time. WILLYBEAFACTOR has been racing well winning on the Parks two starts back before Chasing home Jacks On Ice last time. MIGHTY SAPPHIRE has been racing well since coming to SA, TEXAN WINDSTORM caught the eye flashing late behind Desert Dancing first-up. SHAKATTAK is a Victorian who was OK behind Jacks On Ice here last week.
