Will Clarken and Niki O’Shea jump the border for a second successive Saturday with another well performed horse from the 2024 Adelaide Racing Carnival – Silent Surrente.
The stable took two runners to Caulfield last weekend who were both placed, Episodic running second and Extremely Lucky third, Silent Surrente coming off three consecutive placings during the recent carnival.
Silent Surrente resumed with an eye-catching effort when third behind Chicago Storm in the Listed City Of Adelaide Handicap before she was beaten 2.7 lengths behind Seonee in the Group 2 Queen Of The South Stakes.
She followed up another brave effort when beaten 0.6 lengths behind promising Victorian mare See What I See in the Listed Centaurea Stakes. Now, she heads to Flemington with Linda Meech taking the ride from barrier three on Saturday.
Michael Hickmott has accepted in Melbourne with his In-form mare Fancify, who has been earmarked to head north for a tilt at the $175,000 Listed Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich next month in Queensland.
