Murray Bridge Racing Rewards Day Acceptances

Peter and Belinda Blanch will chase a second successive $105,000 Racing Rewards Juvenile Bonus Race at Murray Bridge on Saturday.

The Morphettville stable claimed last year’s three-year-old edition with Validated and have Lingani lining up in this weekend’s feature.

Open to Racing Rewards SA Qualified Horses Only, the two races have attracted large acceptances with 14 to tackle the three-year-old feature while 11 will line-up in the two-year-old race.

The Blanch stable have exciting youngster Lingani stepping up in class on the back of an emphatic winning return at Balaklava last week.

“She’s a nice horse,’’ Peter Blanch said.

“Balaklava couldn’t have worked out better, she was able to utilise the inside gate and it (to win) was what we needed, knowing she probably had to lift her rating to go to this race.

“She’s pulled up well and we’ll try and do a repeat of last year,’’ he said.

In-form local Hot Off will chase a third successive city victory in the race which also has another smart local Surprise Coming among nominations along with the well performed Walk Like An Angel, who finished third in the two-year-old race last year, and promising Kinetic Jewel from the Phillip Stokes stable.

The Michael Hickmott-trained Dyer is the big watch in the two-year-old race in what will be his first start since winning smartly at Morphettville on debut back in March.

The horse has some high-profile owners including Richmond AFL stars Nathan Broad, Jack Graham and Liam Baker.
