RACE 1 - 11:50AM Contract Engineering Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)

MAZOVIA is on debut for the Clarken/O’Shea stable and has been 4th in two trials, the latest at Murray Bridge running 4th behind Riche D’Amour who came out and won impressively at Morphettville on Saturday. ASTROMANCER has been placed at three of nine starts and was 3rd behind Streetcar Apollo at Murray Bridge two runs back. She has placed on a slow and heavy track previously and draws out of trouble here. SUMAMBISTARR should have won at Balaklava on debut at $26 and was then well backed when beaten 3.6 lengths behind First Maid there last time. LADY LUPARA had specking at odds when beaten 4.8 lengths in 5th behind Artillery on the Parks. She should be an improver here. TYUSIX debuts for Paul Carey and was placed in an Oakbank trial in May.

RACE 2 - 12:20PM Sportsbet Fast Form Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)

HOT STRUT is on debut for David Jolly and looked to have plenty in the locker winning a Strathalbyn jump-out last week. Stablemate ANDAMOOKA gets blinkers for the first time and was OK at Murray Bridge three runs back, he has jumped out well at Strathalbyn since. MACADI MISS debut for the Lesnikowski/Hannemann stable and won a Murray Bridge trial by 2.5 lengths recently. She draws a nice barrier. TAMERICA was beaten 12.4 lengths on debut before she improved at her second start when beaten 1.4 lengths behind Pretentious Diva at Strathalbyn. GOLDE ‘N’ FIRE was OK at her first two starts in SA running 4th on two occasions before she was well beaten from a wide barrier behind Lifestyles at Balaklava. MAHI MAHI looked to have her chance when beaten 1.1 lengths behind Linking at Balaklava last week. ONEOFTHESENIGHTS was runner-up at Murray Bridge back in early May and sent out a $3.50 favourite when beaten 5.7 lengths at Port Augusta last time.

REEL WHISKEY has been placed at three of seven the latest at Strathalbyn in February behind Bonsa Big Boy when a $1.22 favourite. He was  2nd in a recent Murray Bridge trial. TOP SHOGUN is on debut for Lesnikowski/Hannemann stable and won a recent Murray Bridge trial. ROKABYE WARRIOR has been to the trials on five occasions and placed in his latest at Murray Bridge behind Absinthe. CHEF MILITAIRE has been placed three of seven on soft ground and OK behind Losesomewinmore at Morphettville three runs back.

RACE 4 - 1:30PM Adelaide Plains Bloodstock Maiden Plate (1516 METRES)

MANDINO has been placed at five of eight starts in Victoria and was beaten 1.25 lengths in 2nd behind Flying Pharoah at Geelong last time. She draws wide but has been in the money at three of four soft track runs and should give this a shake. THINKINGNINTYNINE was good when 2nd behind Longer Route at Balaklava two starts back and then $3.20 into $2.35 when beaten 0.9 lengths in 2nd behind Saint Michael there last time. He draws out, handles soft ground and but should take beating. DAD’S DREAM was OK when beaten 4.3 lengths behind Lifestyles at Balaklava last time out and draws a handy barrier.

RACE 5 - 2:05PM Wolf Blass Rascals Cup Class One Plate (2121 METRES)

HAYAI MESU ran well beaten 1.9 lengths behind Smokin’ Princess at Murray Bridge two runs back and was then beaten 3.5 lengths behind Tippa at Murray Bridge. She draws out but looks well placed here. HOLMES has been top three at eight of his last nine starts and his only win came here. He was beaten 5.8 lengths behind Smokin’ Princess at Murray Bridge last time but draws a nice gate, handles soft conditions and should run well. SAVSONIC has been placed at her last two the latest when 2nd behind Dubai Legend at Penola. She is a horse who will love the soft conditions and has placed on a heavy previously. MILITARY PRESS comes off a Gawler win beating WHISKEY SOUR. LINES OF GLORY has been in the money in all three runs on a heavy track while CUBAN LORD won his only start on a heavy.

RACE 6 - 2:40PM Gawler Arms Hotel Rating 0 - 56 Handicap (1719 METRES)

SALUTE THE STARS ran 3rd  behind Crimson Vine at Morphettville in March and comes off an improved effort when beaten 0.6 lengths behind Monseagle at Gawler. He gets back up in trip and loves soft ground. MASTER OF ILLUSION is a former Victorian who was a Horsham winner over 2100m four runs back and was then 2nd behind Morrissette at Hamilton. He was beaten 6.7 lengths in a Murray Bridge trial but should run well. FLIGHT DECK comes off an OK effort when 3rd behind Fortis In Armis at Gawler. He draws out but should run well. COVERT WITNESS was a winner here three starts back and draws an inside gate. POCKET RAIDER was a Balaklava winner back in June last year and was beaten 10.5 lengths behind Artrese at Edenhope.

RACE 7 - 3:15PM Wolf Blass Wine Museum Class Two Handicap (1516 METRES)

BELMONT AVENUE has been placed at his past three the latest at Murray Bridge behind Outta Compton. He’s trialled well since, draws a good barrier and looks hard to beat on his home track.
WINE BARON was runner-up in last year’s Adelaide Guineas and resumed with a handy run when beaten 2 lengths behind Bulls On Parade at Murray Bridge. He’s trialled well since and should take some beating here. SIR RANDOLPH is a former Queenslander first-up for Andrew Clarken and was a Ballina winner in December. He was beaten 3.6 lengths in a Murray Bridge trial but does handle soft tracks. BOLTED IN swaps the blinkers for the winkers and draws a nice gate. He was OK last time in a good 3yo race when beaten 4.4 lengths behind Surprise Coming. RESERVOIR DOG was placed at consecutive Victorian starts before coming to SA and was beaten 5.2 lengths behind The Great Baby last time. He’s been in the money twice on heavy ground. ALLEGEDLY is former Victorian with Emma Hubbard and has been placed at four of seven starts on soft tracks. FLYING ASSASSIN was a Port Lincoln winner in January and comes off a good effort when 3rd behind Mortgage Man at Balaklava when he made good ground.

RACE 8 - 3:50PM Sportsbet Bet With Mates Class Two Handicap (1516 METRES)

LIFT THE BAR has won two of her past four starts, the latest at Mildura before being beaten 4.1 lengths in 4th behind Morris Minor on the Parks. She was placed on a heavy track early on and looks suited from a middle gate here up in trip. CHAMBERS BAY was a winner here three starts back beating Forster Street before running 2nd on the Parks behind Hot Off. He was beaten 11.8 lengths behind Morris Minor last time on the Parks and draws an inside gate up in trip. KNIGHTJAR made good ground here behind Kushan Khanivale last time and looks suited here again. ESKY comes off a dominant 2.1 length win at Strathalbyn over the 2050m trip. He’s back and trip and drawn towards the inside but should be in the mix. IT’S DAN THE MAN resumed to win at Penola in March and then was eight weeks between runs when 3rd there behind Melissa Kate last time when beaten 1.6 lengths. FRANKIE’S ME DAD is a former NSW galloper now with Michael Hickmott and has had the two trials under her belt and gets the blinkers off for her local debut. She has won two races and must be respected.

RACE 9 - 4:25PM Wolf Blass Adelaide Hills Wine Bar Hahndorf Benchmark 56 Handicap (1200 METRES)

DAMAGED was impressive sitting off the speed before racing away to win by 2 lengths over Jimmy’s Edge at Balaklava last week. He gets in well with the claim, likes the wet tracks. GLOBAL TURN won a Strathalbyn maiden by 5.2 lengths in January and was 3rd beaten a length behind Angelic Appeal on the Parks at Morphettville before a break. She has trialled well and should be in the mix. EXTRA HOT won a KI maiden second-up in February before being well beaten here and having a break. Her first-up run when beaten 0.6 lengths behind Jive Baby was solid and she draws out which can be OK late in the day. COPPERFIELD draws the middle, comes off a 6.5 length 7th in city grade behind Brave Star and does like a heavy track. TUPOLEU resumes has a good fresh record and has won here twice. He was a Murray Bridge winner last September and can run well here from a wide gate. UNDERCOVER AGENT came from the back to win his maiden at Strathalbyn in May and followed up with a good effort when 2 lengths 3rd behind Brave Action there last time. He’s another that will be back and wide.
